RecallOSRecallOS is an AI-powered study tool. After you expressly opt in, our servers may send the content needed for your request to Anthropic and OpenAI. Either provider may process a request to generate flashcards, quizzes, summaries, study guides, exam predictions, OCR text, and tutor responses for you.
Your choice
We ask before the first transfer of your content to a third-party AI provider. You can decline and continue using non-AI parts of RecallOS. You can withdraw permission at any time from Settings → Third-party AI privacy. After withdrawal, new AI requests that would share your content are blocked unless you choose to allow them again.
What we send to AI providers
- Your uploaded text, PDFs, documents, slides, images, and OCR transcripts.
- Your prompts and follow-up questions to the AI tutor.
- Material titles and topic tags you provide.
- Quiz answers and study-performance context needed to personalize a requested output.
What we do NOT send
- Your password, payment details, or authentication tokens.
- Files or content belonging to other users.
- Your name, email, or contact info, unless they appear inside material you uploaded.
AI output is not always correct
Generated flashcards, quizzes, summaries, and exam predictions can occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify against your source material and your instructor's guidance. RecallOS is a study aid, not a substitute for studying, and does not guarantee any academic outcome.

Provider data handling
Anthropic and OpenAI process content only to provide the requested AI service under our provider agreements. RecallOS does not authorize either provider to use your content to train general-purpose models. See our Privacy Policy for retention, deletion, and international-transfer details.
